Madison Township Fire Department

Madison Twp Fire Department, along with Gregg Twp Fire Department, are in the process of starting a Dive Rescue Team that will respond on subsurface water incidents in Morgan County and beyond for mutual aid. Currently there is no such team in Morgan County and we must rely on assistance from surrounding counties to meet our dive needs. When patients are submerged in water, we refer to “The Golden Hour”. This pertains to the amount of time a submerged patient is considered viable. With having to wait for a dive team from other counties to arrive, survivability is SIGNIFICANTLY decreased. We feel that the creation of the Morgan County Dive Team, we will be able to respond quickly to these incidents and give patients the greatest chance of survival. Simply put, we feel this team WILL SAVE LIVES in Morgan County. To help offset the high start up costs, we are holding a fundraiser. We are selling Dive Team t-shirts and hoodies, as pictured below. If you would like to help support this great cause, click the link below to order. There is also an option to make a donation if you feel so inclined. 100% of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go to fund the Dive Team. Please feel free to share this post.
